Unpredictable chaos swept through the small business community in 2020. Amidst all the chaos, many businesses were able to quickly shift and adapt in order to stay afloat, and even thrive. With the benefit of hindsight, we can now look back at one of the most difficult years most of us have ever faced and use those learnings to our advantage. We can do this by identifying trends and applying those trends to our future planning and practices. The next time your business faces challenging obstacles, you will have an advantage knowing you are prepared to adapt quickly to a rapidly shifting landscape. Recognizing future trends will allow you to be proactive in gauging the effectiveness of your policies & procedures, updating your business planning and strategies, and leading effectively during turmoil & constant change.
During this webinar, we will take a holistic view of this year, review it for legal lessons learned, and discuss trends for the future. 2020 included some significant topics, and we want to help prepare your business for success in 2021. We will cover:
- COVID-19’s changes to the workplace, discussing what business owners should have in place following the aftermath of the pandemic, employment considerations, work from home strategies (and formalizing them), trends in leasing, and what we see in terms of employment liability.
- Hiring was also an important topic in 2020, demonstrating the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace, hiring practices to enhance DEI, and hiring practices for a remote workforce.
- Lastly, we will look back at a few laws that either went into effect or were passed in 2020 and how they will impact business owners & business planning.
These takeaways and actions can help prepare you for next year’s obstacles. We look forward to hosting you at our webinar!
