Devon Maxwell

Devon Maxwell brings a unique and well-rounded perspective to their role as Corporate Paralegal, drawing from a diverse background that includes criminal defense, in-house corporate legal work, and formal mediation training. At Equinox, Devon supports clients and attorneys with business entity formations, regulatory research, contract drafting, and compliance management. Their approach is thoughtful, practical, and solutions-oriented—helping to make legal operations more accessible and efficient behind the scenes.

Devon holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Lewis & Clark College, a Master of Arts in Legal Studies from Santa Barbara Colleges of Law, and a Master of Arts in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University, where they graduated at the top of both programs. Their academic and professional experience reflect a strong foundation in critical thinking, persuasive communication, and the intersection of law and policy.

Devon’s broad legal exposure allows them to provide strategic, holistic support to clients navigating complex challenges. Their passion for meaningful, relationship-driven legal work made Equinox a natural fit.

Outside of the office, Devon is an avid reader and writer, a community advocate, and a former football kicker in both high school and college. They currently serve as Chair of the Wallowa County Democratic Party, Vice Chair of the Enterprise Planning Commission, and Commissioner on the Enterprise Landmarks Commission.
