In business school we’re taught that a company CEO should be focused on the big picture, and avoid getting pulled into the weeds handling “tactical” operational activities. But what could be more strategic than ensuring your company is landing and keeping top talent, especially in its key positions? In these instances, company leaders can be the difference between attracting, winning and losing talented candidates who may have several opportunities from which to choose. In this session, Marcie will share how leadership can:

  • determine the current pulse of the market
  • clearly communicate what they are looking for
  • effectively articulate non-monetary benefits (culture, etc.)
  • utilize their networks as a recruiting pipeline
  • assess the “whole” candidate against the “whole” job
  • identify and marry candidate motivators with values and objectives of the business
  • have an offer conversation (vs negotiation) and talk about money
