Event Details

Effective January 1, 2019, Washington State began requiring businesses to collect premiums to fund the new Paid Family and Medical Leave Act. Businesses started reporting this year and starting in January 2020, employees will be able to apply for benefits under the PFMLA.

Did your business collect the appropriate premiums and information needed for reporting to the State in
2019?

Has your business looked at how the PFMLA may impact its current paid family and medical leave and items
such as short-term disability insurance?

Does your business understand the process related to an employee’s application for benefits under the PFMLA?

Join us for our virtual FOCUS with Shawn Harju to review the requirements currently in effect to ensure your business is complying as well as any additional requirements that have gone into effect since January 1. We will also preview how the application process for benefits will work beginning in January 2020 and the ongoing rulemaking that addresses benefits eligibility and fraud.
